Meet Lani Harmony of The Urban Charm

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lani Harmony. Them and their team share their story with us below:

The Urban Charm Inc. started in a converted kitchen workshop with a vision to create custom jewelry for designers and small businesses. With a budget of $500 to invest in the business; owner, Lani Harmony, acquired her first client in 2014. Fast forward to 2021, we have expanded into designing fashion jewelry collections, engagement rings, wedding bands, prototyping, polishing & plating, small-batch manufacturing and offering consulting and marketing services in the jewelry industry. We source fair trade gemstones, precious metals, diamonds and pearls. Additionally, we have developed our own house brand of jewelry designs available at www.urbancharm.shop

Our designs have been featured in print and online publications such as Voyage LA, Gladys Magazine, and Giftware News. The Urban Charm has received awards and accolades for being the Best Woman Owned Jewelry and Accessories Design Company USA, awarded by Corp America.

Designer Lani Harmony’s designs and artworks have been featured in movies, worn by actresses Miss Long Beach, Miss Malibu, Miss Santa Monica, Miss California, Miss Global United States and many others.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Is this a rhetorical question? Starting a business is a ton of paperwork and research until you get to the actual fun part of doing what you love. Having done everything on a minimal budget, there were many hurdles we had to overcome in order to complete jobs on time and pay vendors and suppliers for materials or parts. There are obstacles that always come up in business that you never can be prepared enough for. The key is to just problem solve on the spot and become a creative innovator to take the obstacle and turn it into an opportunity to learn something new and adjust as needed.
